A major benefit of running the Nightforce base is having the elongated screw holes. As not all Remington Actions are exactly the same, at times the drilled and tapped receiver points can be slightly out making it difficult to attache a 1913 rail.  Nightfoce has realised this and provided a solution that will allow you to mount the rail without stressing the screws or the receiver due to the elongated holes.
